Accessibility Statement
Last Reviewed: January 2026
Helping Hands Senior Care is committed to making our website usable by everyone, including older adults and people with disabilities. Many of the families we serve have vision, hearing, mobility, or memory changes, and we want every visitor to find information easily.
Our standard
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people who are blind or have low vision, are deaf or hard of hearing, or have limited movement, speech, or cognitive abilities.
This standard supports our obligations under the Americans with Disabilities Act in the United States, and under the Accessible Canada Act and provincial laws such as the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) in Canada.
What we do
- Use readable font sizes and strong color contrast
- Provide text descriptions (alt text) for meaningful images
- Add captions to videos
- Make the Site usable with a keyboard alone and compatible with screen readers
- Use clear headings, simple language, and consistent navigation
- Label form fields clearly and explain errors in plain words
- Test the Site periodically with automated tools and manual review
Known limitations
Some third-party content, such as embedded maps, videos, or scheduling tools, may not fully meet our standard. We are working with those providers to improve accessibility.
